Why We Made the Switch: Our Coconut Oil-Free Philosophy
Sometimes, caring better means doing things differently.
Coconut oil has long been a popular ingredient in the beauty and personal care industry. It's affordable, widely available, and valued for its moisturizing properties.
But here's the thing: Popular doesn't always mean it's the best choice for everyone.
As we reimagined The PS Box, we wanted to be more intentional about the ingredients we use in our body oils and body butters.
We recognized that some individuals experience sensitivities or reactions to coconut oil and coconut-derived ingredients. We also wanted to explore alternatives that would deliver the rich, luxurious moisturizing experience our customers love.
That's when we embraced babassu oil.
Meet Babassu Oil: Our Coconut Oil Alternative
Derived from the seeds of the babassu palm tree native to South America, babassu oil offers many of the moisturizing qualities people appreciate about coconut oil, with a beautifully lightweight feel.
